At Rio Hondo Community Development Corporation, we are dedicated to supporting and uplifting low and moderate income families throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Our programs and initiatives are carefully designed to address the diverse needs of individuals and families, providing them with the necessary resources and support to thrive.
Affordable Housing Solutions
We believe that access to safe and affordable housing is a fundamental right for all. Our affordable housing programs focus on creating, improving, and preserving quality housing options for low and moderate income families. To date, Rio Hondo CDC has built 33 units of affordable housing and provided multiple opportunities of first time home ownership for communities in El Monte, Baldwin Park, and Rosemead. By partnering with other developers, community organizations, and government agencies, we strive to provide housing that fosters stability, security, and a sense of belonging.
Economic Development Opportunities
We understand the importance of economic empowerment in breaking the cycle of poverty. Our economic development and initiatives aim to create pathways to success for low and moderate income families. By offering entrepreneurship training, skill-building programs, and access to resources, we empower individuals to start their own businesses, secure gainful employment, and achieve financial independence.
Community Revitalization
We are committed to revitalizing the communities we serve. Our community revitalization initiatives focus on engaging underrepresented communities and involving them in decision-making processes. We work closely with community members to identify and address issues such as abandoned properties, lack of resources, and limited access to essential services. By fostering collaboration and community engagement, we strive to create safe, healthy, and vibrant neighborhoods.
